Carolien was born in Holland and moved to Canada along with her family, the dog, and their 2 cats when she was 6 years old. She grew up on a poultry farm west of Ponoka, and always enjoyed helping her dad out with the chickens and in the field. She attended the Animal Health Technology program at Lakeland College and graduated in 2009. Carolien’s special interests are radiology and laboratory. In her spare time she enjoys riding, competing in the Jumper ring, and rowing. Carolien owns 3 cats, 2 dogs and 5 horses. She resides on a farm by Ponoka with her husband and 2 young children.
